Cojines / cushions

Hola a todos!

Os tengo solitos y abandonados! pero no se va a volver a repetir! tengo montones de cosas que contaros! Viajes, nuevas cosas que he hecho, nuevas noticias (malas y buenas)... Pero ahora os quiero ensenar mi ultimo proyecto con Emma (mi maquina de coser). Son unos cojines para el sofá! No son lo mejor de lo mejor pero estoy de lo mas orgullosa de ellos. También les hice los botones con fimo, estuve bastante tiempo buscando unos que fueran a juego, pero no pude encontrar ninguno. Las telas me las compre en el mercadillo de Ely, cada cojín me ha costado solo £1 y el relleno lo saque de unas almohadas antiguas que ya no usábamos. Creo que el sofá es pequeño para ellos, pero son de lo mas mono! Que creéis?

Hello Everyone!

I complete abandoned you and leave you alone! But this is not going to happen again! I have lots of things to tell you!!!!! Travels, new projects, good and bad news... But for now I want to show you my last project with Emma (my sewing machine). Two sofa cushions! They are not the best of the best, but I am proud of them. I also made their buttons with polymer clay, because I couldn’t find colour that maches. I bought the fabrics at Ely market, so each cushion cost me like £1 and I stuffed with old pillows. I think the sofa is too small for them, but they locks great! What do you think?

Aeropuerto y maletas / Airport and baggage

La semana pasada regrese de pasar unos días de vacaciones en España. Quería traerme algunas cosas de casa de mis padres así que facture una maleta con Ryanair. Todo iba bien y volví feliz a casa, pero cuando decido abrir la maleta... sorpresa! me habían robado!. La verdad es que estoy bastante triste y frustrada, Ryanair no se hace responsable ya que no lo vi y lo reclame cuando estaba en el aeropuerto. La próxima vez llevare la maleta con candado y revisare su contenido antes de salir del aeropuerto.

Last week I returned for my holidays in Spain. I wanted to take some stuff from my parents house so I checked a baggage with Ryanair. Everything was fine and I returned to home happy, but when I open my baggage... surprise!, some items were stolen. I feel very sad and frustrated, Ryanair mention that as I didn't saw it at the airport they can't process my claim. Next time I will put a lock and I will check at the airport before go home.

Noviembre / November

Octubre no termino muy bien, mi movil roto, mi camara rota, y no con mucho tiempo. Pero parece que ahora en Noviembre todo va saliendo mejor. Me he comprado un nuevo telefono con el que intentare sacar fotos a mis manualidades. Y es probable que tenga un espacio chiquitito para vender mis manualidades en Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift & Food Fair gracias a Anglia Wine Merchants tengo una semana para hacer suficiente material para vender, o lo justo para hacerme notar!.

October didn't finishpretty well, my phone dead, my camera dead, and not much time for me. But looklike November is going to be a good month. I bought a new phone, and I will tryto take pictures of my crafts with it. And probably I will have a little space at the ElyCathedral Christmas Gift & Food thanks to Anglia Wine Merchants. But I only havea week to enough staff to sell or make a bit of publicity!

South Africa

Hace unas semanas pase unos días en Sur África, en Ciudad del Cabo y Stellenbosch. Me quede con ganas de ver mas y volver a África.... la próxima vez!! aquí algunas fotos!. Fui con motivos del evento de vinos de Sur África, no bebo mucho por lo que no lo disfrute como un buen amante del vino, pero estuvo muy divertido.

Few weeks ago I went to South Africa for few days, I spent my time at Cape town and Stellenbosch. I really wanted stay more and visit more... next time! Here you can find some pictures!. I went for the Wines of South Africa fair, I don't drink much so I didn't enjoy us a wine lover, but I have to say it was really fun.

Nuevo juguete / New toy

Llevo ya semanas con una única idea, quiero aprender a coser. Todo fue por culpa de Siona y la envidia sana que me da con todas las cosas que hace con su maquina de coser. Así que después de mirar, comparar, comprar una maquina de segunda mano no con mucha suerte y devolverla, ya tengo una maravilla en casa. Aun no he hecho nada con ella, solo he jugado con los diferentes puntos que tiene y he hecho un ojal, pero me encanta!!! Eso si cada vez que me pongo delante de ella tengo miedo de romperla jajajajaja. Es una Singer 2259, y la he llamado Emma. Tengo unas telas que compre ayer por una libra con las que voy a intentar hacer unos cojines, ya os contare!.

I have been several weeks with the same idea in my head; I need to learn to sew. This necessity of learn to sew is fault of my friend Siona, who makes fabulous staff with her sewing machine. So, after I checked online machines, compared them, and bought one second hand machine with no luck, I bought my first and new sewing machine. For now, I only make trials of the different stiches and the button hole, but yesterday I bought some fabric in the market for a pound that hopefully will turn in cushions (whish me luck!). It is a Singer 2259, and I called Emma.

El verano en Inglaterrra / Summer in England

El verano por fin a llegado, llevamos ya algo mas de una semana solo con una camiseta, muy rara vez nos cogemos la cazadora! y es una gozada. Hace tan bueno que el domingo pasado decidimos hacer una paellada en el jardín.

Finally the summer is here, already more than a week with a great weather and not too much worried about take a jacket before you go out, it is a pleasure! The weather is sooo nice that we decided to make paella in the garden last sunday.

También he hecho algunas cositas estos meses pero la verdad es que no muchas. Estoy aprendiendo a coser, pero aun no tengo nada que merezca la pena mostrar. He hecho gorritos de bebe, un chal y termine una manta.

I also made few crafty things these months, but not much. I am also learning to sew, but I still don't have anything nice to sow. I made some baby hats, a shawl and I finished a blanket.
